Have you ever thought that something would go wrong, and it did? Or maybe you thought something would go right, and all was well? People tend to call this the power of positive thinking. This is the basis for the law of attraction. If you believe that your life will never get better then it won’t.
But if you fully believe that what you desire will come to you through the power of the universe, then you will have it. You must have complete faith that what you want will manifest itself.
Even when things go awry or something falls out of balance, you have to believe that it was for a reason and that everything will work out the way you want it to. Any negative thinking or a lack of faith will stop all forward movement. The law of attraction is that if you make attractive to success, then success will be attracted to you automatically.
The Misconception
Many people hear about the law of attraction and think that it is a cure all for everything that ails them in life. They think that they can simply believe things will get better and they will, with no effort on their part.
Then, when it doesn’t work, they say that the law of attraction is bogus and doesn’t work. This is a common misconception. The law of attraction is not just about belief and intent. It’s about showing your intent and putting it out into the world. You have to take action to make the law of attraction work.
Let’s say you want to attract a job after a long bout of unemployment. You want to get a job that fits your skills and allows you to earn a decent amount of money.
So you hear about the law of attraction. Sounds great! You believe you will get the job. You put your intent out into the universe and wait for the job to be attracted to you.
But you don’t actually apply for any jobs. Are you going to get one? Of course not!
Success in any area of life requires effort. Effort without real goals, without desires, without belief in something better or something accomplished, this is what makes so many people unhappy. The law of attraction is not about giving up that effort. It’s about focusing that effort into something that could make you truly happy.   1. Be true to who you are. Stop trying to please other people or to be someone else. It’s better to be an original version of yourself rather than be an exact duplicate of someone else.
  2. Quit complaining. Don’t be like the howling dog, always howling and never doing anything. Stop complaining about your problems and work on them instead.
  3. Be proactive. Stop waiting for others around you to do something and take action yourself instead.
  4. Rather than think “what if,” think “next time”. Don’t think about the things you can’t change (namely what has happened and other people’s thoughts) or unhappy things, because these are disempowering. Instead focus on the things you can action on. That’s the most constructive thing you can do in any situation.
  5. Focus on WHAT vs. How. Focus on WHAT you want first, before you think about HOW to do it. Anything is possible as long as you set your mind, heart, and soul to it.
  6. Create your own opportunities. You can wait for opportunities. Or you can go out there and create your own opportunities. The latter is definite and much more empowering.
